Description
With a parachute and a ball, participants will work with their teams to complete various tasks.
Objective
This cooperative game is perfect for boosting teamwork skills, allowing students to work together strategically. It also helps them develop cooperation and hand-eye coordination.
How the game is played
Group participants into teams of 5 and have them move into an area where they have space to move around their parachute.
Challenge 1 : To start teams will put their Omnikin Six ball in the middle of the parachute and just working on throwing the ball in the air, and catching the ball without letting go of the parachute.
Challenge 2 : One participant will drop off the parachute while the others will try to directionally throw the ball to the teammate who is no longer holding the parachute. They get 3 attempts and then switch with another player.
Challenge 3 : Teams will work with another team and practice throwing a ball back and forth from each parachute, without letting go of the parachute.
Challenge 4 : Teams will work with another team and practice moving a ball down the court, while also throwing from one parachute to the other. If the ball hits the ground they go back to the starting area.
Adaptations/variations
- Let participants work with each challenge for a while.
- Allowing them time to complete each challenge before moving on to the next one.
- To make more challenge, bring buckets and have participants try to catch with buckets.
