Description

The participants, in duo, exchange the rockets (Noodles).

Objective

Achieve as many rocket exchanges as possible.

How the game is played

Each student must find a partner. When teams are formed, each student must have a Noodle in their possession and find an open space.

The two partners face each other with their Noodle end to end. One partner places his/her Noodle on the floor while the other prepares to throw his/her rocket.

To be ready to throw the rocket :

  1. Hold the Noodle in your non-dominant hand at a height of about 2 inches (5 cm) from the bottom;
  2. Hold the rocket at an angle of about 45 degrees to your partner
  3. The dominant hand should be placed behind you in preparation for the throw.
  4. When the partner without the rocket is ready (hands raised to chest level), the rocket can be thrown by hitting the bottom of the Noodle with the palm of the hand.

Partners must catch the rocket after the throw. For best results, line up the students so that the Noodles travel in the same direction.

Adaptations/variations

  • Each student can have one rocket and try to throw both rockets at the same time to catch them later.
  • Add a Omnikin Soft Cone to the top of the Noodle, inside the hole. Instead of throwing the Noodle, when the participant hits the bottom of the Noodle with the palm of his hand, the cone at the other end is propelled towards his partner.
