Individual or Team PE game
Looking for relaxing but physical education games ? Try Yoga. An individual but teamwork game where everyone has to work on their balance through the postures.
Description
The participant will have to work on his balance on a ball through different yoga postures.
Objective
Yoga aims to enhance and maintain participants’ balance. This PE game involves participants in working on a ball through different yoga postures.
How the game is played
Group participants into teams of 2-4 people and give them a ball. Spread the teams out in the gym so that they have enough space. Each participant should have a number.
The activity leader then demonstrates a position and each participant then tries to reproduce it. Be sure to rotate the numbers so that participants do not perform the position in the same order. Here is a list of the 13 positions from easiest to most difficult.
- Big Belly
- Atlas
- Obelix
- The Ostrich
- The crazy spider
- Super man
- The Scorpion
- The Crab
- The Plane
- The Star
- The little dog
- The Buddha
- The dog who pees
Specific safety rules
Standby participants act as a spotter, i.e., they are responsible for the safety of the person making the position on the ball. The spotters can assist in getting on and off the ball. When a position requires you to have your back on the ball, before getting up, put your hands on the ground to avoid falling on your back. With a younger clientele, do not hesitate to use gym mats to secure them in case of fall.
